South Korea is a country I recently developed an urge to visit solely due to their food. Korean food is absolutely delicious, and known mostly for kimchi, a million side dishes to go with every meal, and spicy pepper paste used in soups, stews, and almost everything!
After staring longingly at youtube videos showcasing their vibrant variety of street foods I crave to consume, I put together this itinerary list of restaurants, sites, shopping areas, and prayer places which a muslim traveller to Korea could find useful.
Compared to Japan, the number of halal restaurants is much, much smaller, however they do have a district called Itaewon which is basically their halal district with everything a muslim needs.
Important Note: In South Korea, you will not be able to get by while using only Google Maps, as it is not widely used in the country and has very outdated content. You'll have to use a combination of Google Maps and "Daum". Click here for a recent article we've put together with a full guide that talks about this.
